Hello, good afternoon. So far, everything remains the same; the sea and weather textures are still not loading. But today, something else has appeared. When I go out to the open sea, everything related to the first-person view works fine. However, when I press TAB, the third-person view does not activate. I stay inside the ship, on the deck, but I can't zoom in, zoom out, or move the camera sideways. I need help, please.
Hello, good afternoon everyone, my name is Armando and I recently acquired 'Maelstrom' along with 'Historical Eras II'. I have downloaded the latest versions of the mod and followed the guide with all the steps provided. However, when I click on the game’s .exe file to enter, the screen shows error 126, stating that 'the library for sea textures, weather, etc. cannot be found.' The most curious thing is that after this screen, I can enter the game interface without any problem, create a game, and appear on solid ground with no issues. I can move around easily, interact with NPCs, enter buildings... The problem is when I head out to open sea, the game crashes. It lets me handle the helm, I can open the sea map, but I can't experience the ships.
Please, I need someone to help me
First, you are using the .exe for DirectX 8 (from the DirectX8_32bit folder), which would only be needed if you have a very old computer that does not run DirectX 9. I know this because your screenshot shows FileVersion 2.3.3.40

You should use the .exe and modules folder from DirectX9_64bit if you have a computer running Windows 10/11. You can right-click the Maelstrom.exe, select 'Properties' and the 'Details' tab should show FileVerison 4.2.8.29
While Win10/11 should have all DirectX patch levels, I do remember one of my older Win10 machines did not have 9.0.43c, so run directx_Jun2010_redist.ext to extract files to a folder on your machine, then inside that folder, run DXSETUP.exe.
If you run the 64 bit version of Maelstrom.exe, and the modules folder has all the .dll files with the same FileVersion 4.2.8.29, they should all load successfully when you launch.
Hello Chez OMG, thank you so much! Everything has been fixed, both the textures and the third-person view. Plus, the game looks incredibly better. Really, thank you so much for everything, and especially for helping so quickly. I'll give you all my support in your projects!
